IN THE HEART OF TUSCANY
La Provenca is an old farmhouse in a panoramic position on a hill (651 m of altitude). It was already mentioned in the 1287 municipal statutes. The original structure, built entirely of stone, was enlarged in the second half of the 18th century and was most recently renovated with local materials and respecting the Tuscan architecture tradition.
It currently consists of the manor house and four completely independent full-service-apartments, well isolated from each other and with their own spaces ensuring the privacy of our guests. In this context, surrounded by typical ceilings, floors in terracotta and original furnishings, we will make you plunge into life in the country. Two apartments have a view of a large stone inner courtyard and two of the swimming pool.
Two apartments are accessible for people with disabilities. You will find our swimming pool (6x12 m) in a large tidy garden with deck chairs and gazebos available to let you enjoy your relaxing and peaceful stay. The garden is also like a natural terrace overlooking a postcard setting. From there you can see Lake Trasimeno and Lake Chiusi, and, on the days of clear skies, Perugia.
The farmhouse, surrounded by a young olive grove part of a 27 hectares' organic farm, is located between the Fucoli archaeological site and the Etruscan necropolis of Tolle. In the Pietra-Porciana Nature Reserve, famous for its secular beech forest, the farmhouse shares a border with the Artistic and Natural Park of Val d'Orcia, which can be easily reached via paths and Hiking trails, and it is just a few kilometers away from the Nature Reserve Lucciola Bella, in which the unaltered clay landscape of Val d'Orcia is preserved.
This location is ideal for relaxing holidays/stays or to enjoy pleasant paths and nature, archaeological, food and wine hiking or to visit the beautiful historic villages in the area such as Pienza, Montepulciano, Sarteano, Città della Pieve, Bagno Vignoni and Monticchiello.
The pool is open from May to September.
